This was fantastic! Billy Idol and Steve Stevens along with the rest of the band and guest were amazing. Great concert! Sounded awesome. I’ve seen and met Billy Idol. He and SS never disappoint. This scenery and concert will be watched over and over! Got one for my cousin and my fav friend. They are going to love this!!!

This is a fantastic concert . The back drop of the Hoover Dam is unreal. The recording is superb, with Dolby Atmos and DTS HD Master encoding the sound reproduction is state of the art. The ultra high quality cameras are so good it's like being there. This Concert is a masterpiece. Thanks Billy and everyone who made this concert possible. Wow what a show.

Billy Idol sounds fantastic, as does Steve Stevens and the rest of the band. The DVD is well conceived with the narrative leading up to the concert. It's the right length with a proper mix of history, concert background, the personal side, and finally the concert. Sweet. Get it.

Ich bin schon seit Jahrzehnten Billy Idol Fan und habe deshalb natürlich auch diesen live Auftritt von Idol, Gott sei Dank mit seinem Jahrzehnte langen Leadgittaristen Steve Stevens, sehr gerne gekauft. In meinem Fall habe ich mich für eine Blu Ray Variante entschieden. Idol und Stevens (mit "Band") auf dem Hoover Dam live in concert, wer lässt sich das als Idol Fan schon entgehen? Vorab: Es ist keine FSK-Kennzeichnung auf der DVD/Blu Ray (Verpackung) und deshalb versendet amazon NUR MIT PERSONALAUSWEIS-KONTROLLE durch den Postboten! Sehr umständlich und völlig unangebracht, da das Konzert oder auch der gesamte Inhalt der DVD/Blu Ray nicht die klitzekleinste jugendgefährdende Szene enthält, nichts obsönes, rein gar nichts, was das rechtfertigen würde. Wer hier für diesen Käuferumstand letztendlich verantwortlich ist weiß ich nicht, auf jeden Fall ein ganz großer Mist, dieser Umstand der Ausweiskontrolle für den Käufer (und auch für den Postboten). Das Konzert beginnt dann auch etwas verhalten und nimmt teils accoustic Ausmaße an. Damit meine ich NICHT, das zusätzlich auf der DVD/Blu Ray enthaltene, einige songs umfassende, tatsächlich in Duo (Idol & Stevens) vorgetragener accoustic Variante Filmchen, DIREKT auf dem Hoover Dam; denn das ist schon sehenswert und macht auch Spaß - für Idol & Stevens-Fans - ernst gemeint. Aber eben besagtes eigentliche Konzert mit ganzer "Band", beginnt eben relativ verhalten und nimmt teils fast accoustic Außmaße an, was nicht so mein Fall ist. Und bei der live Performance von Idol merkt man (natürlich) auch, seine mittlerweile 68 Lenze ganz schön. So agil auf der Bühne wie "früher" wirkt er eben hier bei weitem nicht mehr, was selbstredend ist, denn wer mit 68 ist noch so fit, daß er ein ganzes Konzert live auftreten kann, ...obwohl es gibt da schon einige. Das Konzert selbst ist auch nicht allzulang und man kann es sehr gut ansehen ohne das es langweilig wird. Denn Idol gewandet sich mehrmals um mit neuer gefälliger Oberbekleidung. Stevens gibt seine Gittarenkünste für die wir ihn (hoffentlich alle) lieben super zum Besten, wenngleich auch er offensichtlich etwas außer Form gegangen ist, aber keiner wird (leider) jünger. Es gibt leider keine einzige Zugabe beim bzw. am Ende des Konzerts, was sehr schade ist, denn etwas länger hätte es schon sein können. Der teils später, etwas beleuchtete Hoover Dam als Kulisse macht schon etwas her und wertet das Konzert natürlich dementsprechend auf. Idol spielt auch viele seiner größten Hits und ab der Mitte des Konzerts, wenn es dunkler wird, kommt auch mehr Stimmung mit der kleinen Lichtshow und den Idol-Hits auf. Einer meiner Lieblingssongs John Wayne (hoffentlich richtig geschrieben) ist durch den Auftritt einer mir gänzlich unbekannten Gastsängerin völlig daneben gegangen, so zumindest in meinen Augen - sehr sehr schade. Hätte Billy den song alleine gesungen wäre er 1000x besser/schöner gewesen. Denn so (wie die "Dame" gesungen hat) hat der song einfach seinen wunderschönen "Flair" verloren. Noch zum Cover/Schuber der DVD/Blu Ray: Also diese "gemalten Bilder" auf dem Cover und der Cover-Rückseite gefallen mir persönlich überhaupt nicht. Da hätte man auch wesentlich "mehr" daraus machen können. Wirkt sehr "billig" gemacht und nicht besonders hochwertig. Wenn hier Idol & Stevens und dahinter der Hoover Dam in realer Fotobild-Qualität darauf abgebildet gewesen wären, dann hätte das gepaßt - so nicht gut gelungen. Also als Idol & Stevens-Fan ist diese DVD/Blu Ray natürlich ein "must have" und der Inhalt ist auch völlig in Ordnung und "gut", aber so völlig übertrieben euphorisch wie hier bereits einige Bewertungen von Käufern ausfallen, ist das "Ganze" aber nicht. Nur um hier keine übertriebenen Erwartungen zu wecken.
